This site was created by CCAP (Coatesville Community and Area Parents) in
partnership with CATA (Coatesville Area Teacher Association) to help everyone with the remote
learning environment made necessary by Covid-19. We understand this is an
overwhelming time right now, but we are all in this together! This site
will help parents, students, and even teachers navigate necessary and optional resources. We
hope that some of these tools will help your student meet success in their remote learning at CASD as hassle-free as possible.
As you begin, we want to know that we have compiled a list of many resources for reference. We don’t expect anyone to need all of these. So please just look at what you need as you need it. Some resources will be used be the primary teachers, some by elementary, and some by secondary. This is all new, and we don’t believe there is a one size fits all resource.

First, this is new for all of us! Be patient with yourself, your
student(s), and the teachers.
The goal of remote learning is to provide students with the essential skills for the final nine weeks of school.
Teachers will be streamlining and adjusting lessons to meet student needs frequently. (Again - this is new for everyone.)
If you have any questions, concerns, or problems, please reach out. For younger kids, please reach out to the teacher for assistance. If he/she cannot help, you will be directed to someone who can.
For older kids, use this as an opportunity to build or practice self-advocacy skills. Ask them to reach out to their teacher; use this as a lesson in emailing and tone. Your children will need this skill in life.
If you find that remote learning is causing stress for your family, take a break and regroup. If a break solves the issue, great, begin again. If not, reach out to the teacher or guidance counselor and ask for advice or help.
If you encounter any issues with Chromebooks or Hotspots, or any other issues specifically related to technology, please email ITHelpdesk@casdschools.org.
